Minimum install

When installing 10.2 which packages are the must have ones for a stable environment. I want to use Fluxbox, no other GUI purely for internet access and e-mail.
Plus as many apps as poss that are accessible from command line.

Which app is best to access printer on the windows xp pc. Thanks in advance.

I'm no guru so keep that in mind please.

but, i just loaded a very very old laptop for a friend of mine...pentium 66 mhz laptop...that has a 2gig hard drive and 160 mb ram.

but, when i installed slackware. i chose to use the menu option.

now slack recommends and puts an "x" next to items they think you should use. i REMOVED the "x" for "qt and KDE". the KDE takes up a ton of space.

As seen in my sig It's not as if I'm short of space i'm just trying to be less reliant on the likes of kde for editing, running etc. I have a few questions but get embarrased asking what to most ppl are probably very basic. I do have a good troll around on here but sometimes I just don't understand the answers given and confuses things for me even more.
Windows has a lot to answer for.

Hi,

To troll can be helpful. Yet you must understand the terminology or speak.

I would suggest that you refrence some good on-line reference.

Check my sig for some good reference, 3,4,5 and 10 are good. Shilo's site (#11) gives some great techniques and easy to follow. A lot of other good on-line referrences by google of the subject.

seems to be quite true. The reason being is that a lot of the computer community wants someone to hold their hand!
