minimalist with features

first :

Ok, this is a noobish question but I still want to know for sure...

I have already a working slack installation on my "big" computer but now I want to make an install of slackware 9.0 as minimalist as possible (so this means for me no x) on my "small" computer (being a P1 166 MHz with 32 or 64 MB ram)
1. I have to be able to install new programs (*.tar.gz & *.tgz) (so make and things like that)
2. I want ssh (so I can login to the thing from a distant computer)
3. I want to be able to compile a new kernel...
4. I want to be able to playback mp3's and ogg's (textbased)

Which packages do I HAVE to install ...
(I will choose the "expert"-driven installation method... (although I am not an expert...) (or should I choose the "menu" installation method???)

For sure I will not install anything in the e f gnome k kde kdei t tcl x xap & y dirs
Especially in the a ap d l & n dirs I have problems to select the needed packages
Could you guys help me a little???

second :

I would like to boot the linux into my ram... I know this is possible but I do not have a clue how to start this ... do you know a howto of this... I checked the linux-mini-howtos but I could not find anything there...

third :

the thing should automatically login one user (not the root). I mean that when I startup the machine (cold) then the machine should login with the name "###" and give the password etc...

Minimalistic Slackware install: http://village.flashnet.it/users/fn048069/minislak.html

-- you will have to experiment with adding and removing the packages you want.

A simple way for custom installing Slackware is to use tagfiles. Once you have your tagfiles setup, then the installation proceeds automatically, without requiring user interaction for package selection.

See this article on tagfiles: http://startlinux.co.nz/articles/article_64.php
