Im not using Slackware at the moment but under Debian I Added the following line to your ~/.bashrc file

. /usr/lib/mc/mc.sh

Replace with wherever path Slackwares midnight commander keeps its mc.sh and mc-wrapper.sh scripts in.


logout and log back on it should work.
