I just wanted to make sure the latest mdadm hasn't escaped the attention of the Slackware gurus for -current. I bet it hasn't I'm basically in the same situation as described here:

Cheers.

Hahaha brilliant. Literally hours ago I compiled it statically on my Slackware 12.1 installation using the old Slackbuild script. Then I downloaded it onto a running copy of the 13.1 installation disk. Works beautifully for my Intel fake raid controller.

With -current now it should auto-detect and build the arrays when you start the installer- my raid 0 arrays appeared as /dev/md126p1, md126p2, etc. You need to include "-u" and "-R" when you build an initrd.

And you need to use grub. From a grub boot disk is easiest because then it can use the disks the bios gives to it (e.g. the arrays).

Other than that I'm typing this from the easiest fake raid setup yet ;-)
