MariaDB did not install on upgrading
Hello slackers
On the slackware home page, it is mentioned that Mysql would be removed in favour of MariaDB. I installed slackware14-64bit 3 days back. When I upgraded, I still find that MySql5.5 is installed, not MariaDB

Is it not yet changed yet?
It has been removed from the -current branch. Which version of Slackware are you using?
What Patrick meant was the next Slackware (aka Slackware-Current) will migrate to MariaDB, but the current Slackware release (14.0) are still using MySQL
OK, as it has been mentioned in this thread it's MySQL has been replaced with MariaDB in the -current branch of Slackware. You can always check/monitor any changes in relevant Changelogs, both for -stable and -current branches: http://slackware.com/changelog/
