Manual install of Alsa
Hey I have had so many problems with Alsa and custom kernals with my new motherboard (with Nforce2 chipset).
I decided maby its easy to just install alsa and it will set its self up better/more or less automatically.
After following the steps (and using a useful install script) I got it all installed and got it working.
Only one error about a module already being in the kernal.
My question is that if I donīt want to use the Alsa from the kernal and just install it myself... do I just compile the kernal without anything to do with Alsa/my sound drivers
Then install Alsa???
I am just not sure about this!!
Thanks
Adam
