"make" help

For some reason I did not install whatever package has "make". I tried using the install cds, but I cannot get my CD-Rom drive mounted again during install.

Can someone point me in the direction of "make" on the the internet that I can download to a USB drive on a WinXP computer and then put on my linux box (no internet allowed-- on a strict network).

Thanks in advance

You can easily find any package you want using the Slackware Package Browser: http://slackware.com/pb
Example: http://slackware.it/en/pb/searchpkg....nt&string=make

thank you so much. I actually did spend a decent amount of time looking, but it seems most people are smart enough to install the most very basic packages, so the problem isn't that common.

thanks
again!
