Make and compiler problem

I'm currently running a slim version of Slackware called TINY linux on an i486 with 32 mb ram and 500 mb hd. I finally got X windows running on it no problem. The only problem I'm having is that this version of linux does not have Make or a compiler on it. I tried downloading a compiler but I have to have Make to install them. I tried downloading Make but the only version I have found (GNU) requires that I compile it. Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do?

It appears that TINY Linux comes with ` pkgtools ` preinstalled, with that you should be able to download the slack packs for gcc and make, then install them without the need to compile "I believe".

check it out TINY Linux's website: http://tiny.seul.org/en/i.html

Does it still have slackware package tools ?

All of the apps you need for a compiler exist in the slackware/d directory on any slackware mirror pre compiled for your comfort .
(http://mirror.pacific.net.au/linux/s...2/slackware/d/) for instance.

you will need things like make/autoconf/automake gcc/bison/yacc/flex ..... etc

Hope that helps
