Everything was fine until I upgraded to kernel 2.6.22. I grabbed the July 19th snapshot from madwifi and it compiled and installed without errors. Works fine.

Thanx for the replys and help.

I found that in my quest to minimize the kernel I had unchecked options that were necessary. So started again with huge smp and now all works well.
