M2N-SLI Deluxe 590 and linux

i have checked the hcl and it does show that my board is there all be it an earlier version - i was just wondering if there is anyone else out there that has this board and has got it working under slackware without any issues, as i would like to move it from windows to linux, but if a) it doesnt run out the box or b) theres not a lot of support for it i may have to stick with windows

try to run knoppix with it.
you may have to compile some drivers yourself though, as slackware only ships with vanilla kernels.

after looking on the nvidia site it looks like 2.6 kernel would run it and after looking at slacks 2.6.17.13 kernel conf the only thing i would have to do is change the cpu from 486 to k8 - but was hoping someone else out there had the board working before i start messing about

after a lot of personal issues i have had to deal with i thought i would give this a go and install slackware on my new amd x64 system, error after error

if i use sata.i - wireless and usb keyboard wont work so cant type any thing, and if i use huge26 or test26.s it says that the hda drive is read only and i have no permission to write to it (shows its 4g too) when its a 40GB drive.

i have managed to get ubuntu installed (x86) but its a bit of a pain in the arse to get the sound working right - crackles alot.

is there anyone with a board like this that has managed to get slackware 11 installed on it because atm i cant

i think i may have figured it out - and hopefuly installing now - just have to hope it boots

fault was user fault and partly board fault - user fault as i forgot board only has one ide port and the ide dvdr drive is on that so the drive i needed was sda which you have to tell cfdisk if you want it to use that disc instead of just hitting enter like i was doing - also to note for this board dont use sata.i if you use a usb mouse or keyboard as they wont work once it gets to the select keyboard layout prompt, you have to select huge26.s
