Looking for a Shell Script to Build Slackware CDs

I maintain a local mirror of Slackware. I have a shell script to create a DVD ISO image.

Recently I started a project and the machines I use do not have a DVD player, only a CD player. Usually I mutter the full-blown version of "WTF," but this time I muttered "crap." After sighing. :)

I could download all six CDs, note the directory tree, and then create a script for each CD. However, downloading all 6 CDs requires several hours, not to mention banging on the bandwidth meter.

I already have a copy of the tree. I simply need a script to duplicate the official CDs.

Anybody have a script to build Slackware CDs?

Thanks again.

Have a look at alien bobs mirror current script here, you should easily be able to modify it to do what you want.

In order to create byte-exact copies of the Slackware CD's you will have to use alphageek's sligdo which uses a smart tool called jigdo and a local copy of a Slackware tree.
The download of the sligdo files will not take long, and generating 6 ISO images is pretty fast on a modern computer.

The ISOs you generate with sligdo will check out OK against the official Slackware MD5 checksums as well as the official Slackware GPG ISO signatures.
