lm_sensors for K9A2 Platinum Mobo

For the life of me I cannot get any temp reading from my mobo. I've ran sensors-detect and it gives me:

Driver `f71882fg':
* ISA bus, address 0x600
Chip `Fintek F71882FG/F71883FG Super IO Sensors' (confidence: 9)

I then modprobe f71882fg and get resource is busy. I've added it to /etc/init.d/lm_sensors for initialization at boot time. Rebooted and get no sensors found. Not sure what else to try out.

Thanks.

Hey

lm_sensors needs real temperature sensors in place. My laptop has insufficient sensors so lm_sensors will not function correctly for me either. Unfortunately it is a hardware issue. Or lack there of.

Good luck

Found the solution here.

You could try adding acpi_enforce_resources=lax to the kernel line in your boot manager (GRUB or LILO). It's a common workaround for several chips. Not nice (removes ACPI multiple-write protection) but I have not yet seen any report of it actually causing trouble.

More info here.
