I run a pretty big network at my school. I'm running into a small problem with some of my administrative/personal computers though. What i'm going to do is set up a seperat network for those computers. I have a server with an external ip address and a nic that connects to a switch. What kind of software do i need to setup a gateway to the internet? Squid? I'm not sure what to look for. All i want these computers to do is see eachother and see the server for internet access. Thats about it. Btw, the server with the external ip address is running slack 9.1.

just a bog standard gateway? that would be done through using ip masquarading, just flicking a few settings in your kernel using IPtables. personally i hate iptables, so would suggest using an interface such as firestarter to install a decent firewall and enable ipmasq in one go.
