Linux Live Scripts - X and mouse problem
Hi all,
I've tried to use the linux live scripts that allow one to build a bootable cd/usb version of Slackware. All is working fine except I get no mouse support and X refuses to start properly. My mouse doesn't get picked up at all, and when I run startx I get a cross for a pointer in the centre of the screen and a bash window in the upper right corner. I've tried running xorgconfig but then I can't even get X to start with a "no screens found error" no matter what values I put in! I've included the packages a, ap, d, kde, l, n, x and xap directly form the Slackware 11.0 disk. I'm also using a patched 2.6.19 kernel which I booted into Slackware to make the linux-live distro.
My question is this - where is the mouse detection setup, is it in a package I have missed out? Second has anyone tried doing this before and had similar problems? (Before anyone asks I have seen Slax etc... but I need a specially patched 2.6.19 kernel which none of the other live distros have).
Thanks for your time,
Steve
