Have installed Slack 10.2 with a Linksys NC100 Ethernet Card. Computer is connected to Linksys WRT-54G which is connected to a Zoom DSL modem/router. I have been running Slack without issue, including using the internet without issue for 3 weeks. Booted up today with problems.
I have a laptop connected to the WRT-54G wirelessly without issue. Only experiencing troubles with Slack desktop.
Steps I have already tried. I have made sure the DSL connection is working with other computers on the same subnet. I have rerun the network configuration through pkgtool. I have rebooted to make sure that it had the chance to restart all of the setup scripts properly. I have "ifconfig -a", "lspci", "lsmod", and "modprobe tulip" all without figuring out the issue. I have also check to make sure the lights on the NIC were on, and I have a green light, it also shows up on the router as being connected or on.
I have included the following information to help provide solutions. Can a NIC just go bad all of the sudden?
Code:
"lspci Output"
00:0d.0 Ethernet controller: Linksys NC100 Network Everywhere Fast Ethernet 10/100 (rev. 11)
Code:
"lsmod Output"
It showed no module loaded for any Ethernet Controler
Code:
"cat /proc/interrupts Output"
It showed no interrupt being used for the ethernet controler. I had the following interrupts being used: timer, keyboard, cascade, rtc, usb-uhci, VIA686A, PS/2 Mouse, ide0, ide1
Code:
"ifconfig -a Output"

Code:

/lib/modules/2.4.31/kernel/drivers/net/tulip/tulip.o.gz: Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters
You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg

/lib/modules/2.4.31/kernel/drivers/net/tulip/tulip.o.gz: insmod tulip failed
I hope that helps. Thanks in advance for any replies.
