lilo won't install

hello, i tried to install slackware and to dual boot with win2000.
slackware installed ok but i skipped the lilo installation. now i can only boot to slackware using boot disk i made during install but it's too slow. without the boot disk it boots directly to win2000.
I'm not sure where to install lilo root or MBR ? and when i run liloconfig it just doesnt install it, anywhere. my win2000 partition is hda1 and marked bootable, linux partition is hda5.

so where to install it? and how?

I'd say...install it (with #lilo) to the MBR.
