I makes changes to it, but they always goes back to default. I change the Labels to "Windows" and "Slackware", but they go back to "DOS" and "Linux". I change the delay from 1200 (2 minutes) to 100 (10 seconds), but it goes back to 1200. Anybody know what's going on?

Check the permissions on /etc/lilo.conf. Make sure that you have write.

Well, I've changed the permissions, but when I opened lilo.conf the changes were still in there, but aren't affecting the boot parameters. Any ideas?

well if the changes are in there then you've presumably not undated the boot sector. run "lilo" as root.

Doh, I thought you were saying you couldnt edit lilo.conf. :)

You always have to run "lilo" after modyfing lilo.conf to apply new changes...
