Lilo bootloader unresponsive to USB keyboard.

Hi:
When under BIOS I have keyboard. Then, when the system shows the lilo prompt, I have no longer keyboard. When the prompt times out, lilo begins booting the kernel and finally I have the keyboard again. The keyboard is a USB keyboard. Is there an option for /etc/lilo.conf that can solve the problem?

kernel 2.6.21.5
Slackware 12.0

i have had this problem with older motherboards - but i hadn't ever found a cure.. it was mostly hit or miss, sometimes working during lilo, sometimes not.

Well, I read another post and somebody spoke about USB BIOS support. Fortunately I found some USB options in the BIOS menu. I change them and voila! Problem solved.
I hope the problem is not erratic.

An odd thing about this is that, given the BIOS setup menu is responsive to the keyboard, this means that even a BIOS as old as mine (c.2000) has routines to handle USB.

The BIOS option is usally 'Legacy USB support' or something similar.
