hi Fission Chips, welcome to LQ!
I just downloaded the
spotify build script from SBo, untarred it, went into its folder.
then, as I
spotted on git that Ryan updated it to its latest version, I downloaded the patch from there and applied it (still inside the just-uncompressed spotify.SlackBuild directory)
Code:
wget -O spotify.patch "https://slackbuilds.org/cgit/slackbuilds/patch/?id=8e6a066425d020f8506d35314c4943456df74afd"
patch -p3 < spotify.patch
then I downloaded the 64bit deb, made the slackware package running the SlackBuild, installed it, and run spotify with no issues.
the package I installed is versioned spotify-1.0.34.146.g28f9eda2-x86_64-1_SBo.txz
no need to install libgcrypt as it was already installed (full installation here, the only one supported by SBo).
also it doesn't seem needed by the spotify binary
Code:
$ ldd /opt/spotify/usr/share/spotify/spotify | grep libgcrypt
$
it's preferred to report issue with SBo' scripts to the maintainers, then, if they are not responsive in a reasonable time, to the slackbuilds-users mailing list (or the irc channel, if you prefer): here is not guaranteed that you will have an answer.
