libgcc_s.so.1 must be installed for pthread_cancel to work

This happens on a custom app using lots of threads, the conditions of why this happens are not very clear, wouldn't it be a multi-threaded program.

I use the -lpthread flags to gcc when compiling it.

Quote:
find / -iname 'libgcc_s*' -print 2> /dev/null
/usr/lib/libgcc_s.so.1
/usr/lib/libgcc_s.so

The app is probably written in C++, so it needs the compiler libs. I could be wrong, but I think this will explain it...

Thanks for the reply, the app is written in C.
If i add -lgcc_s to the compilation it now works(it does not give that error, just a too many threads error if i create above
1000 threads but POSIX says that the max number of simultaneous threads is implementation-defined, so ok).

The problem is then resolved, although i think it's a toolchain problem.
