libdvdcss and RC5 issues

is (or has) anyone had issues compiling libdvdcss 1.2.9 on any RC after RC3 - as i always get

? ) [1]kpathsea: Running mktextfm ecbx0700
mkdir: cannot create directory `././var/lib/texmf': Permission denied
mktextfm: mktexdir /var/lib/texmf/tfm/jknappen/ec failed.

and various other errors like the one above, yet if i go back to using 10.2 it builds fine with no errors, is this just a simple overight and a few perm changes are needed or should this be reported to PV - if so any one have an addy

Thanks

I saw this too, on Slackware current the make tries to write to /var/lib/texmf where it used to write to /var/tmp/texmf.
There is no point in creating latex docs anyway, so I patched that out and you can grab a SlackBuild plus .diff file here: http://www.alienbase.nl/slackware/re...bdvdcss/build/
