libartsc.so.0: file not found (xmms issues)

This is not a terribly important question so I will not in any way hurt myself should it not be fixable =)

With that said:
When I start xmms I get an error message saying:
'libartsc.so.0: file or catalogue does not exist'

As I said it's not important since xmms plays sound anyway. But I'm a little curious as to what the file is for. Any ideas?

what kind of output plugin you use?
i think this error concerns to arts server? i suppose you are running kde... correct?
i think arts sound server is not happy with the fact that this file does not exist..
I don't know..
I am not sure..

I'm not sure about 9.1 since I'm still using slack9 (thank you very much). But whenever I get a message about 'missing this or that file', the first place I look is in the MANIFEST.bz2 file (in the /slackware/ directory of the install disc) which lists every file in every package of slack.

For example, in slack9, libartsc.so.0 is in the arts-1.1-i386-2.tgz package in the /slackware/l/ directory.

Enjoy!

I'm using the ALSA-output plugin, but it doesn't matter wich plugin I use, the message is there anyway. And I'm not using KDE I'm using Gnome.
I'll check the manifest and see, maybe I forgot to install some package that the sound server uses?
