lib/firmware directory does not exist

Hi,

I am using slackware 14, kernel version 3.2.29.

I noticed in my kernel source that there is no
/usr/src/linux-3.2.29/lib/firmware directory, it only has
/usr/src/linux-3.2.29/firmware

can anyone teach me how to install the firmware package for linux?
I found the Slackbuild file here:
http://mirrors.slackware.com/slackwa...rnel-firmware/
but it does not come with any tarball.

Sorry if this is a very basic question coz i'm a new linux convert.

cheers
ck

the kernel-firmware will be placed on /lib/firmware after it is installed, not in /usr/src/<kernel-version>/lib/firmware

Thanks, Willy.

I have to admit that I feel really dumb now
