Led HDD Notebook Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro V2065
 

Hello

I am the owner of a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro V2065 Notebook, and after installing Slackware 10.2 I noticed that my HDD Led is not working. It is not blinking at all, it is always on.

I read somewhere that could be a problem with a Kernel module, but I hope this issue could be solved without compiling the kernel.

Isn't that LED controlled by your bios?

It can be, I don't know for sure. But the LED is working just fine in Windows. (shame on me that I am using Windows, but I am constrained by some software :rolleyes: ).

heh, there's no shame in using windows if you must, especially if you're new. I havent broken away 100 % yet, tho I am eager too.

Well if it works in windows then there must be some sort of driver/firmware you need. I never heard of it before to be honest, but I dont know everything either LOL.

Maybe you could call who you bought the laptop from or look in the computer manual or something I dont know.
