Hi,
recently I got a laptop and installed Slackware12 on it. I need to use GoogleEarth so I need DRI enabled.

lspci says:
VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RS485 [Radeon Xpress 1100 IGP]

I downloaded and tried to install the latest driver but no luck.
installer says:
/lib/modules/fglrx/build_mod/2.6.x/firegl_public.c:1: error: code model 'kernel' not supported in the 32 bit mode
/lib/modules/fglrx/build_mod/2.6.x/firegl_public.c:1: sorry, unimplemented: 64-bit mode not compiled in

I do not quite understand the errors. I am running 32bit Slackware12 on top of 64bit AMD Turion x2.

two years from now I managed to compile and install another ati driver on my desktop pc running Slack11. I have no experience with laptops so I don't know where to look.

any info about this card and any help at all will be much appreciated.
