I did a LAMPP webserver installation earlier today. Everything went good, i set the security files everything was set. I disabled the preinstalled apache server from the setup and started lampp with /opt/lampp/lampp start. I added my project site into htdocs folder and tried http://localhost, it showed my site instantly. But when i try to access the site through my ip, as in http://xx.xx.xx.xxx it doesn`t connect. Why ?
You don't have to. Slackware comes with LAMP out-of-the-box! You just need to configure it. After that you could execute apache, mysql, and php. If I am developing enterprise web sites, I would use LAMP rather than XAMPP, if I were you.
Go uninstall XAMPP and reinstall apache. It's a lot better!

LAMP is the same with LAMPP : XAMPP = Windows webserver, LAMPP = Linux webserver , both of them are built by the same team.
LE: Eaven apache won`t work, it works on localhost but when i target my ip noting happens.
Is this Slackware only issue? I mean i installed lampp on another distro and worked as soon as i typed /opt/lampp/lampp start it would work instantly without any iptables issues or anything it just worked. That`s why i`m like so lost right now.

If your using a router, make sure that you have port forwarding enabled.
For my router i setup it up to forward port 80 to 192.168.1.XX port 80 or whatever the ip your router assigned your computer.
Then apache displays the page just fine using the ip assigned to my modem.
Without doing this, all i see is a blank page.
What you're seeing is purely a routing issue. Additional details depend on how your network is set up.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with Slackware or apache et al - it is a routing issue.

I didn`t say it was a Slackware problem, i forgot about using lampp on another distro when i didn`t have a router.

Sorry if that came across as accusatory - I didn't mean it that way. I was just trying to be explicitly clear for the benefit of everyone in this thread.

I got it, no problem . But i can`t seem to connect to my router. I did a hard reset to it so i could use the factory config. But i can`t login into the config web menu. And if i give cancel it says :
Web Server Error Report: Server Error: 401 N/A
Operating System Error Nr:3997698: HTM Access denied

This may not be of help, but just in case:
1) Make sure you're trying to log in via the LAN side of the router, not the WAN side.
2) Wireless routers sometimes don't (by default) allow logins wirelessly; only via ethernet cable connection.
3) I've yet to meet a (normal, non-$10000) router that by default uses something other than a blank username & PW, or "admin:admin" as username & password.
Have you got any papers that came with the router so that you could check the factory username/password?
Yeah got the pdf manual and double checked it, the default username/password are admin admin, i tried login in with both seamonkey and mozilla and didn`t work.
I pressed the reset button for more than 30 seconds and that should have restarted it. I even unplugged it from the power supply and still doesn`t want to work, i keep trying admin admin and it won`t allow it to connect and i`m sure i`m on the lan part i use 192.168.1.1 to connect, any other address i try won`t find anything. Only 192.168.1.1 detects correctly my MSI Wireless Router, but when i try to log in it won`t allow me.
Does anyone have any problem like this one with their router?

Sorry if this isn't helping and good luck,
Sasha
Tried everything, i`m beginning to think that this could be due to only 2 things
Or this shitty router dosen`t support Linux or Slackware in particular ( highly unlikely ) Or Slackware has a bug somewhere. ( Sorry if i`m getting too general on this sentence )
Further reading of the manual should point out two things which you should double check:
1) The correct subnet & IP address needed to access the router. So, if the router's address is xxx.yyy.2.xxx then your computer needs to have an IP address of xxx.yyy.2.xxx (notice the 2) .. Second, I have a Belkin router here, which seems to like being logged into at xxx.yyy.aaa.254 rather than xxx.yyy.aaa.1, so check to manual for this info.
2) The hard-reset button generally needs to be held in, WHILE power cycling the router, so:
Press and hold the button, while the router is ON.
Turn off the router (still holding the button).
Power ON the router, and after the lights calm down, release the button.
