ksecrets Not allowing me to connect to wifi - How to remove/disable

I have also installed Slackware 14 on my Laptop. Everything is good except the wifi don't connect automatically.

The first problem was kwallet - I disabled it. Good for that session.
Next time when I start ksecret poped up - I couldn't find how to disable it.

Now I need to delete my n/w every time and connect again will do the job. This is a work around but you know how much pain it is.

I went ahead and removed the ksecrtes package, it did something but ksecrets is still there to bug me. I changed to the runlevel to 3 and again tried to remove and got an error "it was already removed".

Please help me how to solve this. Do I need to re install?

I would recommend you to upgrade to KDE 4.10.1 from AlienBOB's packages : http://alien.slackbook.org/ktown/14.0/4.10.1/

First of all, you may need to put the removed package back since it contains a shared library that might be needed by other parts of the system.

The fix is to edit the network connection and check the "system connection" and "connect automatically" boxes. Then wifi will connect at boot even before KDE runs, and you shouldn't be bothered with KWallet or a password other than for the initial setup.

Thanks a lot.

Anyhow ksecrets is gone now, removepkg did it's job. I do not see it any more. I will install it again if i get any problems.

I checked my n/w connection and I did not select the system connection check box. I have checked it now.
Thanks again.

Thanks for your suggession willysr, I will consider for upgrade soon.
