Hello!
Just now i need to print pdf document from xpdf ( XFCE).
in "print with command" write "kprinter", but looks like there no that command. what is replace that kde printer dialog?
Note that /usr/bin/lpr is a symbolic link to /usr/bin/lpr-cups. My understanding is that typing lpr in the "Print with command" field of xpdf will use cups to print the PDF file to the default printer. At least with the default installation of Slackware.
If I remember correctly one can also use options in the xpdf print command field such as "lpr -P <printername>".
At least that's the way it works for me in Slackware64 14.0. Maybe it has changed in 14.1 and -current.
I don't use KDE so perhaps I've completely misunderstood the objective in this thread. (Print from xpdf right?)
EDIT: I misunderstood frankbell's reply. I should have worded this post differently.

lpr is not as good as kprinter
last one show you standart kde printing dialog before print - you can chhose layot, double side options and so on - very handy.

As frankbell says, this is a new one on me, too, would come in handy with xpdf and a bunch of other x programs that ask for cli options rather than generate a gui dialog.
