konqueror hiding

hi, i seem to have odd problems with Slackware 11. my latest one is that konqueror has decided not to load any more. no error, nothing. if i click on the desktop or taskbar icons, nothing, no response. also running $ konqueror in a terminal does nothing other than leave an open command at the promps, no error messages or log of it booting up. i still have a terminal up whch i typed konqueror in 5minutes ago & still nothing is happening. i think yesterday i went about personalising the toolbars etc in it & also make some url links to the cdrom & cdrw drives as i was finding the 'media' link to be hit-and-miss. it was working fine yesterday, although i'm sure this has happened once or twice over the last couple of days, only today its not working at all.

sounds like the new config is in error.

boot to a different windowmanager or boot into root or if unable to....run a live cd and delete the /home/your name/.kde folder

with luck when you retry to login with kde it will assume this is your first time and start you off again?

i tried that, fully expecting it to fix this problem, but it didn't! weird, maybe my installation disks were corrupted or something. i'll put up with it until my official Slackware disks arrive through the post. maybe this'll force me into trying out gnome
