After installing KMPlayer, I now see the KMPlayer video controls but still cannot see the flash videos. I suspect the problem might have something to do with npplayer, but I cannot find anything about such a package with respect to Slackware. The KMPlayer package I built (slackbuilds.org) shows no such binary.
According to the comments from the second site above: if the knpplayer backend is installed then “Ice Ape” will show up in the right-click "Play with.." menu. No such option exists.

Is there something else I need to enable Adobe Flash in Konqueror?
Flash (slackbuilds.org) works fine with Firefox.
I'm using Slackware 12.2, KDE 3.5.10. I do not have a full install.
tell you the truth Konqueror is not up to the task of the internet we could argue this but it is no longer integrated part of slackware current yes it is there . and for good security reasons. seakmonkey is a serious web browser it is as good or even better than firefox. In slackware we like security and you will find the kde desk top integrated with konqueror is somthing that is not kept up to slackware security standards..
but if your really want to use it flash programs that require seeing parts of your system go ahead but use it in an area where it is secure like what firefox seamonkey etc does . test your Konquror flash here
and associating x-shockwave-flash filetype with kmplayer_part in kcontrolcenter should do it. I have it working with kmplayer 0.10.0c in slackware 12.1 (kde 3.5.9).
Recompiling kmplayer without --without-gstreamer and with --enable-npplayer=yes, modifying ~/.kde/share/config/kmplayerrc to include
Just an update. I did all of the above and still no Flash (latest from SlackBuilds.org) with Konqueror (3.5.10). Flash works with Firefox 3.10 and Opera 9.64.
The Flash plugin is listed in the Konqy plugins list, so the browser does see the plugin.
I've never used konqueror other then a file manager, or the occasional program documentation redirect. So, besides flash-player-plugin form slackbuilds.org I'm not sure if there is anything else needed.
Initially I tried going to youtube.com to test out flash in konqueror, but it said I needed to enable javascript. So, I went to Settings->Configure Konqueror...->Java and Javascript, and then clicked on the Javascript tab and checked "Enable JavaScript Globally". This turned on javascript, however, I was now presented with a black box.
So I went back to Settings->Configure Konqueror...->Plugins, and I checked "Only allow HTTP and HTTPS URLs for plugins". Now flash seems to work within konqueror on youtube.com and speedtest.net. The speed at which konqueror renders web pages with flash, however, is very slow compared to Firefox.
Besides flash, I don't know what else is needed, but I didn't have to recompile anything.
I checked "Only allow HTTP and HTTPS URLs for plugins"
That was the primary problem. The check box description does not match what the pop-up help describes, that's for sure! I enabled the check box and that seemed to do the trick. Thank you.

Same here. I use Firefox as my primary browser. I wanted to investigate using a different browser for certain video content sites, such as hulu.com. The idea being I could leave Firefox in a conservative configuration with various settings, such as JavaScript, and then use a second browser configured more open to create a quasi-sandbox effect.
I now have Opera 9.64 installed and have Flash working there. Konqueror does not seem to provide a method to create JavaScript whitelists, which Opera supports as does Firefox through the NoScript extension. Therefore Konqueror is not a good candidate for my investigation.
