Konguerer crashes when trying to browse /home

Just yesterday for no some reason when I click the home icon on my desktop as a normal user, it brings up the hourglass and home never comes up. If I try to open a webroser to go to /home it won't go it ends up crashing. I can do all of this as a root user, just not as my normal user.

create a new user and log in as that user and see if the same thing happens. if it doesnt (you can open Home without error) delete the bad account and recreate from root

Don't want to delete user

I'm trying not to delete the user, but it looks like that will be the only way.

understand, i assume then that this is not a new installation? if you can back up anything you can in the users home directory first. you can always recreate the user later
