KMySQL installed in Slackware 8
Ok, I just installed MySQL 4.0.17 and already created my first
database. I am using Slackware 8 and kde 2.1.2. I need to
know if anybody out there is using KMySQL as a gui to
administer database creation, queries, reports, etc.
I found what appears to be an old source for KMySQL (ver
1.2.1) but before I take the plunge and attempt compilation,
I want to hear if anybody has had any experience with it.
P.S. I really love the speed response from MySQL. I have read
about MySQL control center, PHPMyAdmin, etc., but I want to
hear other people's reactions with KMySQL. Thanks in advance.

Ok, this case is closed: I went for mysqlcc (a client from the creators of mysql)
and for now I have a gui that can fill my needs. All I neded to do was untar the
thing and it worked.
I am still troubled by the inability to compile under kde. I'll see if I can write a
small c++ program and execute it. Short of reloading kde (which I don't want
to do), I don't know what else to do.
The gui may play a role if I decide to allow my wife and kid to start playing
with my databases entering data and doing queries.
