Kinfocenter crashing

Hi,

I'm running Slackware64-current with the KDE 4.14.3 packages by Alien Bob. Everything seems to work fine except when I open the OpenGL tab in kinfocenter then X crashes and I'm back at the KDM login screen. I am able to play games without problems. Searching the net I only found this bug on old threads. And patches for KDE 3.5, but nothing new.
Has anyone encountered this recently? Any possible fix?

I'm running kernel 3.18.2 with Catalyst 14.12. Everything else 3D seems to run fine. I can play 25Assist (and other 3D games) with good performance.

Code:
bash-4.3$ fglrxinfo
display: :0  screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
OpenGL renderer string: AMD Radeon R9 200 Series
OpenGL version string: 4.4.13283 Compatibility Profile Context 14.501.1003

I cannot duplicate this problem, but I'm on a 32-bit Intel machine running Current. I know this doesn't help directly, but it might help narrow down things a bit.

Code:
$ uname -a
Linux tuna 3.14.27-smp #2 SMP Sun Dec 21 15:06:24 CST 2014 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.40GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux

$ lspci <--I've edited the output a bit

00:1f.3 SMBus: Intel Corporation 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) SMBus Controller (rev 03)

01:00.1 Display controller: AMD/ATI [Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.] RV370 [Radeon X300 SE]

Thanks for your reply. I'd like to ask, are you using fglrx? If so which version are you using?

Guess I just don't open the OpenGL tab. I need fglrx for the games I play.
