I'm running Slackware64-current with the KDE 4.14.3 packages by Alien Bob. Everything seems to work fine except when I open the OpenGL tab in kinfocenter then X crashes and I'm back at the KDM login screen. I am able to play games without problems. Searching the net I only found this bug on old threads. And patches for KDE 3.5, but nothing new.
Has anyone encountered this recently? Any possible fix?
I'm running kernel 3.18.2 with Catalyst 14.12. Everything else 3D seems to run fine. I can play 25Assist (and other 3D games) with good performance.

I cannot duplicate this problem, but I'm on a 32-bit Intel machine running Current. I know this doesn't help directly, but it might help narrow down things a bit.

Thanks for your reply. I'd like to ask, are you using fglrx? If so which version are you using?
