keyboard stops working

Hello,

Using Slackware 10, 2.4.28 kernel.

I have a basic/cheap ViewSonic USB keyboard attached to my machine via USB port.

After varying amounts of time (sometimes 5 minutes, sometimes 5 hours) it stops working.

If I unplug it, and then reinsert the usb plug, it comes back to life.

Is this a problem with the keyboard or has anyone encountered this before?

Niall.

Well with 10.1 I notice that it would stop working all of a sudden just before it asked for username. I had a usb drive plugged in so I took it out and everything worked. It's a ps2 mouse.

I dunno if that will help at all but thats what happened to me yesterday
