Keyboard not being detected when trying to boot using kernel 3.13

So I'm trying to solve this problem by compiling and using the latest and greatest Linux kernel, kernel 3.13. I am compiling it by using Pat's 3.12 config as a base and then running make oldconfig and only going through the new options. After I get it set up, I have to build an initrd.gz since I'm on an encrypted LVM and that works, but when I reboot I cannot get it to detect a keyboard for the life of me (meaning I can't decrpyt my drive). I've tried adding in all the USB keyboard related modules I can think of to no avail.

Does anyone have any tips for me?

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I guess I should have listed all the modules I've tried so far. I'm not at home now, but from memory, I've tried ehci_hcd, ehci_pci, hid_generic, usbhid, ohci_hcd, xhci_hcd, uhci_hcd, hid, and usbkbd. From the other thread linked in this thread, it looks like I should give ssb_hcd a shot as well.

Well, ssb_hcd didn't work, I'll try ohci_pci next time I get a change. Wife is playing Minecraft on it now, she wouldn't appreciate it if I suddenly rebooted.
