Kernel updated to 2.6.35.10 ?

Thought it would go to 2.6.37 ...

I think a new slackware is very close.
Other reason is kernel 2.6.37 has a issue with backlight, here.
Kernel 2.6.35.10 is a longterm kernel, so if a new version of slackware were almost ready to release a longterm kernel is a right choice.

Another possibility is that the next release will be far away (> 4 weeks), so we can wait for the fix in 2.6.37.

The 2.6.35 long term is nice, though lacks some performance gains announced for higher versions. Also not all bugfixes will be backported because the maintainer "plan to be fairly
conservative".

Right, good point. But I ask Robby about the new version of XFCE will enter in Slackware and he said, not in this release cycle. I'm hopping for a new release soon.

But this is Pat decision, we can only speculate.
