kernel problem
Hi there!
I have recompiled my kernel. But recompile wasn't succesful. And when I start xconfig once again ,all the setting in kernel are switched like I made them before recompiling. I just want all setting in 'xconfig' be made by default. How can I make it. ( before recompiling I have backed up makefile, so I have recovered it, but it 'xconfig' still keeps all changes made by me). So this is my problem, any suggestions people? Thanks in advance! |
Whoa, say what?
Do you mean that when you recompile your kernel, and it doesn't work, and you go back to change something, you want the kernel to show the last config you used? Save the "config" to a file, it's an option in X config in the lower right corner. Then, when you come back to "try again" load config from file, and locate the previously saved config file. Cool |
When I go back to change something, I want the kernel to show the default config

So you want the kernel to look like it did when you d/l it? You would run:
make mrproper before make xconfig This should return all the values to default. HTH |
d/l - ?

d/l download, sorry :(
Cool |
Damn....this command didn't set up all things to default :(
Thanks God I have backed up /usr/src/linux |
