Kernel Headers; where are they?

So, I need to know what files are contained in kernel headers
and where are they?

Are they the same for each kernel or no?

I need slack kernel headers for kernel 2.6.27.27
I just need the headers

thanks

Hi,

You just need to install "kernel-headers" package in d/ directory. Then you can see that headers are installed in /usr/include using
Code:
cat /var/log/packages/kernel-headers<tab>

Thanks

How do I identify whats a kernel header?

Not everything in /usr/include is a header right?

It's /usr/include/linux and some other dirs. View this file - /var/log/packages/kernel-headers* to see which files belong to it.

Don't upgrade the kernel headers unless you have a good reason to do so, because it can cause major trouble. Why do you want to upgrade them ?
