Kernel compile on Intel Atom

For anyone who owns an Intel Atom-based netbook and has compiled a kernel on it, how long did it take?

I've been thinking about buying a netbook and installing Slackware on it, but I compile a lot of stuff from source and am not sure how well the Atom will handle that.

It certainly won't be the fastest machine on the block, but it can get the job done well enough. I don't have an Atom netbook, but my current server is based off of Atom. While I would rather compile on one of the big machines, I can certainly get away with building a kernel on the Atom board if I have to (it's much better than the old P2 I had in the server before, at least).
