kernel 2.6.13.3 and acpi
 

I installed kernel 2.6.12.3 on slackware 10.1. I have to use acpi=off because for some reason it disables the irq for my soundcard which is a sbpci128. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem? When I had kernel 2.6.11.8 acpi was working fine.

I can't say I have had that problem, but as I am sure you know, the kernel is a constant work in progress.

Occasionally, some things get broken when there is an update, it happens. It is one of the cons of using what is essentially software that is constantly in development.

My only advice (if you can't find a solution) is to drop back down to the older kernel if it is a serious problem for you, or otherwise wait until the next kernel release and hope the problem is fixed.

How about 2.6.12 ? 2.6.12.1 ?
