KDM-Language

Hi there!

I installed the german language package to Slack 10.0 a few moments ago...

Then I switched KDE into german (which worked perfecty) and I switched kdm into german...(seemed to work too)

Well, now here comes the Problem... one of my passwords contains a "z" ... and when I type it, i have to press the "y"-key .. since I have a german keyboard ... thought that would change when I switch kdm into german... but it didn't change. When I login on the console it works fine. So, my password is set correctly ...

Summary: Everything is in german now, except for the kdm's loginname- and password-fields ...

Does someone have a suggestion how to fix that?

Thanks!

Greetings, Sascha

Control Center > System Administration > Login Manager > "Appearance" tab

It has a separate Locale switch. (Separate cause it has nothing to do with your user's chosen language.)

Yepp, I know ... that is what I did ... (sorry, if I didn't write that clear enough :-) )

The effect is, that kdm is in german now (buttons, labels ,,..... ) but the textfield for username and password are still in english... I know ... sounds weired .. but thats the problem ...

Greetings, Sascha
