Question KDM crash on logout

Hey guys, I've been using slackware for a few months now, & i've got to say it's an awesome distro! Anyway I just changed my /etc/rc.d/rc.4 to boot KDM instead of GDM. Now when I try to logout or shutdown it hangs and I get a black screen with my laptop battery symbol in the top left.

I'm using 2.4 kernel, kde 3.3, dont know if that helps.

Any ideas?

well, seeing as how KDE 3.3 was just might send your system specs and any/all error logs to the KDE development team.......

it might be a bug that will be fixed in future versions..........
