I have just installed a KDevelop package on slackware 10.2, and when i run the C/C++ IDE, it crashes/exists without an error when i press the create project button.
I bet you've run it by double-clicking so you couldn't see an error message even if there was one
Unless you've already fixed it, run the program from a console and see what it says.

there was no error printed to console with this problem, that why it is was such a tricky one to solve. Not sure if its a slackware implementation problem or a KDevelop problem...
