Does anybody have any idea, why is the kdenetwork 3.5.10 package missing in the recent KDE upgrade (in -current)? Slackpkg installed version 4.1.0 for me automatically, which is, of course, not what I wanted, so I switched back to 3.5.9_3 version, which is (fortunately) available...
If my memory is okay (a dubious question, for sure), Pat seldom (never?) updates a KDE release except for individual security patches and patches affected by patching other packages.

Upgraded KDE version 3.x.x to 3.5.10. Really, there's nothing wrong with
looking back as long as it's something stable and dependable. It's good to
see that KDE3 received this maintainance update. Thanks, KDE team! :-)
The announcement may be found on the KDE web site: http://kde.org/announcements/announce-3.5.10.php
Looking at the KDE website kdenetwork-3.5.10 is available. Perhaps you could download the source and compile it. Maybe adapting the SlackBuild from 3.5.9 ?
Of course I don't think it's a good idea mixing current packages with stable, even if they are workable for a time before the trees diverge, but I don't think the OP is doing this.

As to why Pat has not included a package for kdenetwork - maybe he will - give the man a chance !
The same goes for kdetoys. Slackpkg suggests installing 4.1.0 which is still in /testing.
Not sure if PatV forgot about these two packages or if there are simple no newer versions.
I kept the current versions of both packages and everything seems to be working fine.

A couple of things slipped through the cracks with that last update. An old
patch was applied to kdenetwork making that build fail. Once that was fixed
kdetoys (previously missing) built correctly. Perhaps it needed a header file
or library from kdenetwork. Sorry about that, and thanks to
Willy Sudiarto Raharjo and Corrado Franco for pointing out the omissions.
kde/kdenetwork-3.5.10-i486-1.tgz: Upgraded to kdenetwork-3.5.10.
