kde4.1.2 in current --- AmaroK crashes kded4

Every time I launch Amarok there will be a dialog window tell me that kded4 has crashed. When I choose "show detail" button, it will say the trace back is useless or sort of that. Does anyone have any idea?

Not having a problem here. The only suggestion I have for you is to be certain that you did not accidentally remove or over-write any deps or KDE4 components with KDE3 ones. Having had issues with a prior upgrades of current from the change log, I make certain to run the "remove-KDE3" script prior to upgrading KDE 4.1.x to KDE 4.1.(x+1).

That's strange~ I followed your suggestion that run "remove-KDE3" script before upgrade but it removed all the kde* pkg(i.e, kde4 included) so I nearly reinstalled the whole DE... But the problem still exists...

I'm seeing the same thing. Have a look here at comment #8.

Also this work-around.
Although I have ~/.kde (not ~/.kde4) and some of the entries in kglobalshortcutsrc
are slightly different, it seems to fix the problem.
Probably should make a backup copy first.

Good to hear.
Amarok's come a long way in a short time.
Just a few weeks ago it was basically unusable,
Seems like it's coming along quite nicely.
Almost ready for prime-time. Just a few minor annoyances left in the UI. (IMO)
Enjoy KDE4!
