KDE/Slackware font size issues at logon

I don't have an ~/.xinitrc. I will try modifying the /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.

Hmmm. Or should I modify the xinitrc.kde?

No dice changing either of those files.

Just to summarize:

1. When using the vesa driver, text is fine, but get a black screen on logout.

2. When using i810, the text(resolution) is huge for all users at logon. When logging out, the login screen appears, but again the text (resolution) is huge at the login prompt. Once logged in, the resolution is fine for root.

My card is the Intel 82845G/GL[Brookdale-G] and I'm using Slackware 12.0.
