Kde crashes on last current (14.1, updated after August the 12th)

Hi everybody,

It happens when using chromium (but don't know if related).
Kde just exits and I see bunch of errors related to akonadi.
Akonadi logs shows that some binaries are missing but it seems not fatal (found that on kde forum).
Xorg log do not show any error...

Could someone help me to investigate?

I use current with chromium (package from alien) on kde and everything seems to work here.

Did you remove old packages and install new added ones? (for example in the last
update glamor-egl was removed and some new packages were added.

Try slackpkg install-new, or manually check changelog: http://slackware.osuosl.org/slackwar.../ChangeLog.txt

you can also try to disable akonadi if you don't need any of it functions: https://userbase.kde.org/Akonadi#Dis...nadi_subsystem

Alien bob built the last chromium before the update. If Eric has got it to build since the last update then that's nice I was unable to.
I have to rebuild it for pulseaudio use. Make sure you did a install-new. When you say current then you mean 14.1 current pre release to 14.2 right.
as for xorg problem that has been resolved please update your system and reinstall mesa.
And also the new intel driver if you have intel graphics.

Hi and thank you for your replies.

I've gone current after the last huge update in August.

I've followed Eric 's guide for updating but will double check as you advice.
