KDE 4.2 Hangs with Slackware on Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro V2030

Hi,
I just instaled Slackware 13.0 on my Fujitsu Siemens V2030 laptop.
When I try to run KDE on the initialisation screen the hard disk appears normally the next to icons appear blurry and then the system freezes. I need a cold reboot to recover.
I tried Xfce, fluxbox they start normally but I cannot see the mouse pointer (like an invisible mouse).

What can I do to make Kde start or at least to make the pointer appear in Xface.

More information, the via-agp kernel module is loaded and appears on the list with lsmod.

maybe the mouse is not identified properly in /etc/X11/xorg.conf

have you tried, as root, running xorgsetup or xorgconfig? (good idea to back up your old xorg.conf before running either of these)
