Now that I have spent some time with it, I reiterate the title as well as agree with many of the posts here. I did, however, have to roll back the NVidia driver to resolve some flickering that I got with the 180.xx drivers. That is another issue though...

I noticed from 4.1.3 to 4.2 that I can now hide the panels and I now ha my whole viewable area back.
