KDE 4.2; forcing dpi for a small screen.

Does anyone know how I can configure KDE 4.2 in -current to display at 83 dpi? It is helpful because it means everything displayed at a smaller font, and I didn't have to reconfigure everything (e.g., I've reconfigured the kde system fonts, but firefox is still displaying really big.)
I've tried...
Code:
user@darkstar:~$ xdpyinfo | grep resolution
resolution: 118x118 dots per inch
I've done the calculation for DisplaySize in xorg, ((hight|width)/dpi * 25.4) and added it in...
Code:
Section "Monitor"
        Identifier "Monitor0"
        VendorName "Monitor Vendor"
        ModelName "Monitor Model"
        DisplaySize 313 183 # for 1024x600 dpi 83
EndSection
My xorg is clean otherwise, I made it with /usr/bin/xorgsetup.

Other than that I've got a clean -current system, and these were the only real solutions I've been able to find. The KDE display settings tells me I can force it at 96, but this does nothing and xdpyinfo gives me the same thing.

I'm really trying to give KDE4 a try, I've always been a gnome user but since Pat thinks it is stable enough for slackware I figured I'd be open minded. Help!

EDIT:

Sorry, got it working, I had to add the following line to my video card "Device" section in xorg,
Code:
"Option" "NoDCC" "True"
and startx with
Code:
startx -- -dpi 83
Sorry for posting too soon, thank you for reading.

Hey Romanus81,

Having just found this thread on a 0 Replies search, it is my duty
to knock you off of there and inform you that you can edit your
post or something to make it read [SOLVED].

Go ahead, man; you don't want to be a Slacker always do you?
